eLearning Partners, a leading training video production services provider, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2023 Reading in the Rockies Conference organized by the Rocky Mountain Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. This two-day educational event will take place on September 29th & 30th, 2023, at Copper Mountain Resort in Frisco, Colorado.

43.5 million people in the US may have dyslexia, with only 2% having a diagnosis. Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties with word recognition, spelling, and reading comprehension. The Rocky Mountain Branch of The International Dyslexia Association provides local conferences, workshops, and resources to educate and increase public awareness of dyslexia and other learning differences.

Reading in the Rockies is a highly-anticipated event that provides a platform for teachers, administrators, parents/guardians, and other professionals to learn, collaborate, and relax in a beautiful environment near Copper Mountain. The conference features speakers who address relevant topics and offer practical solutions to support students with dyslexia.

“As a person with dyslexia, I’m thrilled to be a part of the 2023 Reading in the Rockies Conference and support the Rocky Mountain Branch of the International Dyslexia Association in their mission to help individuals living with dyslexia and other learning differences,” said Hector Simoudis, Co-Founder of eLearning Partners. “I know firsthand that emotional support and specialized learning solutions can make a huge difference in the life of someone with dyslexia.”

Hector Simoudis, Co-Founder of eLearning Partners, was diagnosed with dyslexia early in life and moved from Saudi Arabia to the US to attend Landmark High School, specializing in teaching students with dyslexia his sophomore year. Thanks to a specialized learning program, he went from the 3rd-grade reading level to the 10th-grade reading level in his first year, became a straight-A student, graduated as Valedictorian, and, most importantly, fell in love with learning. He then attended and graduated from the University of Denver summa cum laude and Co-Founded eLearning Partners with his college best friend, Jonny Havey.

“It’s empowering to be a part of the event that gives teachers, students, and their parents tools to succeed by getting an understanding of dyslexia and ways to make learning more accessible and personalized,” remarked Jonny Havey, the other Co-Founder of eLearning Partners.
