How to Get the Most ROI From Kajabi in 2027
If you are investing in Kajabi, the biggest question you should be asking is not, “How many features can I use?” It is, “How can I get the greatest return on my investment?” I have used Kajabi for years to run eLearning Partners, and over that time, I have moved away from numerous other software platforms and technologies. In this post (and the Youtube video linked here and the podcast episode linked here), Kajabi supports a significant portion of how I run my business, both on the front end and behind the scenes. More importantly, I have helped clients use Kajabi to create new revenue streams, increase product adoption, improve customer retention, and strengthen their internal operations.
When I think about how to get the most ROI from Kajabi in 2027, I do not think about simply building another online course. Kajabi can be much more powerful when you connect its capabilities to the outcomes your business actually needs. You can use it to educate customers, support sales, deliver products and services, communicate with your audience, manage contacts, train employees, and create scalable B2B opportunities. The key is to start with the result you want and then determine which Kajabi capabilities can help you achieve it.
Think beyond selling online courses
One of the biggest mistakes I see businesses make with Kajabi is treating it only as an online course platform. There is nothing wrong with using Kajabi to create and sell courses, coaching programs, or digital products. In fact, Kajabi does an excellent job in this area. But if that is the only way you use the platform, you may be leaving significant value on the table.
I primarily see Kajabi as an external facing learning management system that can help businesses serve their customers. However, it can also be leveraged internally to support employees. That distinction matters because there are multiple ways to generate ROI from the same platform. You can use education to help customers get more value from what they already purchased, create new products and services, and support your employees in becoming more effective and efficient. When these strategies work together, Kajabi becomes much more than a place to host content.
Use Kajabi to increase customer adoption, retention, and revenue
The first opportunity I would look at is your existing customer base. Ask yourself whether your customers are getting the maximum possible value from your product or service. If they are not, education can become one of the most powerful tools you have for increasing product adoption. When customers understand how to use what they purchased and can achieve better results with it, they have a stronger reason to continue buying from you.
I have seen this strategy work with large organizations, including CoStar Group, where education helps customers get more value from the company's core products and services. When customers become more successful with a product, several things can happen. They may buy more, remain customers longer, and become advocates for the business. You can also create certification programs, training programs, or other educational products that become additional revenue streams. This is one of the clearest ways to get more ROI from Kajabi without simply trying to acquire more customers.
Build new revenue streams with Kajabi
Another obvious way to increase your Kajabi ROI is to create a new product or service that generates additional revenue. This could be an online course, coaching program, consulting program, certification, community, paid newsletter, or another digital educational experience. Kajabi gives you the infrastructure to package and sell these offers without requiring you to stitch together a large collection of unrelated software tools.
But I encourage you to think beyond the first sale. Your new educational product should ideally connect to your broader business model. For example, an introductory program could help customers understand your methodology before they purchase a higher ticket service. A certification could create an additional income stream while strengthening customer engagement with your core offering. The opportunity is not simply to sell education, but to use education strategically throughout the customer journey.
Use Kajabi for B2B as well as B2C
One of the strategies I believe deserves more attention is using Kajabi for business to business sales. Many people naturally think about B2C when they use Kajabi. One business creates an offer and one individual purchases it. That can be a great model, but it can also limit how much revenue you generate from each transaction.
With B2B, you can create opportunities to sell one offer to an organization that needs access for multiple people. Kajabi can support offers where customers purchase multiple licenses, which creates a completely different economic opportunity. Instead of making one sale that serves one person, you can make one sale that serves an entire team, class, department, or organization.
This is something I have helped clients think through because the underlying principle is simple: make it as easy as possible for an organization to buy what you sell. If a company wants 10, 50, or 140 licenses, your purchasing process should support that. Bulk purchasing, invoices, coupon codes, and appropriate offers can help remove friction from the buying process. When you make B2B purchasing easier, you can increase the revenue generated from each transaction without necessarily needing to generate more leads.
Use Kajabi to train your employees
The external customer experience is only half of the equation. I also use Kajabi to think about internal education and employee development. There are other platforms specifically designed for employee training, and depending on your needs, one of those may be the right choice. But Kajabi can still be a powerful option when you want to centralize training alongside your customer education and other business activities.
I think about internal training in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. Effectiveness means helping people do the right things in their roles. Efficiency means helping them do those things correctly and consistently. When employees are more effective and efficient, the business can generate more value while reducing avoidable costs. Employee retention can also improve because people have better systems, clearer expectations, and more support. That creates another path to ROI from your Kajabi investment.
Align the ROI of your entire business
One of the frameworks I use with business owners and S&P 500 company leaders is what I call the ROI pie. I think about four important groups within a business: your business, your buyers, your customers, and your employees. Each group is looking for a return on their investment. Your business wants profitable growth. Your buyers want to feel confident that their purchase is worthwhile. Your customers want results from the product or service. Your employees want a worthwhile experience working for your organization.
The opportunity exists where those different forms of ROI overlap. That is the area where you can create the greatest value. Instead of asking, “How can I use Kajabi?” ask, “Where can Kajabi help create value for these four groups at the same time?” That shift in thinking can completely change how you approach the platform. You stop chasing features and start building systems around outcomes.
Use Kajabi as more than an LMS
Kajabi includes a broad collection of tools that can support different parts of your business. Contacts can function as a CRM where you track the customer journey and understand how people interact with your business. Marketing tools allow you to create funnels, email broadcasts, and automated email sequences. Website tools allow you to build pages, landing pages, navigation, and even an entire business website.
I use Kajabi as the main website for eLearning Partners, while organizations such as CoStar can use Kajabi as an education website connected to their primary corporate website. Both approaches can work. You might use Kajabi as your entire website, or you might use a subdomain such as education, eLearning, or university on your existing domain. The important thing is to choose the structure that supports your business strategy rather than assuming there is only one correct setup.
Build a simple Kajabi sales system
Kajabi can also help you bring more of your sales infrastructure into one place. You can connect a payment gateway, create offers, establish pricing, set up subscriptions or payment plans, create invoices, and support different purchasing models. You can also use features such as coupons and cart functionality depending on how you sell.
For me, the most important principle is simplicity. Your customers should not have to work hard to purchase from you. If an individual wants one product, make that process simple. If an organization wants hundreds of licenses, make that process simple too. Your Kajabi setup should reduce friction rather than create more administrative work for your team. Every improvement in the buying experience can potentially contribute to better conversion and stronger ROI.
Start with the highest value opportunity
Kajabi has a lot of capabilities, and that can become overwhelming. My recommendation is not to implement everything at once. Start with the most important business outcome you are trying to achieve and determine how Kajabi can help you achieve it.
Maybe your priority is launching a new revenue stream. Maybe it is improving customer adoption. Maybe you need a better customer education experience. Maybe your organization needs a scalable employee training system. Start there. Get the result, learn from it, and then expand your use of Kajabi over time. That is how I have approached Kajabi in my own businesses, and it is how I encourage my clients to approach it as well.
How to get the most ROI from Kajabi in 2027
If you want to know how to get the most ROI from Kajabi in 2027, my biggest recommendation is to stop measuring success by how much of the platform you use. Measure success by the business outcomes it creates. Kajabi can help you create new revenue streams, increase customer acquisition, improve product adoption, strengthen retention, support B2B sales, and train your employees. You do not need to use every feature to benefit from the platform.
The best Kajabi strategy is the one that aligns technology with your business model. Start with the biggest opportunity, build the simplest system that can achieve the desired result, and then expand from there. When you approach Kajabi this way, you are no longer simply paying for software. You are investing in a system that can help your business increase revenue, reduce expenses, create better customer outcomes, and ultimately increase profit. That is where I believe the real opportunity lies in 2027.
