Kajabi Tutorial: How to Build a Website on Kajabi

Kajabi is a learning management system, but it also offers additional features such as the ability to build a website. We use Kajabi ourselves as we like how it already has a website builder and other features.

Unfortunately, we learned the hard way that creating a WordPress site and putting in a lot of time and effort to develop it was not right for us. We made a huge investment with zero return. Now we use Kajabi, including its website builder. One bonus of Kajabi is you can get website hosting through them as well. This saves you the hassle of having to get a separate website builder and hosting platform.

But how do you create a website on Kajabi? The process is pretty straightforward.

Step #1. Find All the Tools on the Top Left Corner

When you are in Kajabi, you can find all the parts of your website that you need to adjust in the top lefthand corner of the website. This is where you will see the links to create or edit your pages, overall design, navigation, blog design, and more.

Step #2. Using Themes

When you start with Kajabi, you will have your choice of website themes. Just click on “themes” from that upper left corner menu. You will see a theme store complete with both free and paid themes.

Step #3. Using Pages

In the pages section, you will likely have both landing pages and pipelines. As a refresher, landing pages are clean slates or blank canvases that can be separate from your website or connect to it. The goal with landing pages is to create a page that is free from distractions. Visitors will focus on your CTA, not the navigation menu, footer, or other distractions. The lack of distractions increases the chances that they complete your desired action. Your pipelines connect to your landing page. Think of them as sales funnels you build within the landing page.

Step #4. Using Navigation

The navigation section of Kajabi’s website builder lets you decide how you organize your website. You get to control where you put the blog or other pages. For example, we used this feature to put our masterclass page where we wanted. You also use this section to adjust your footer, main menu, member menu, about, and contact pages.

Conveniently, you can just drag and drop to adjust your main menu and move other elements of the website navigation.

Previewing Your Page

If you want to preview your page, just click on the eyeball icon. This makes it easy to confirm that you like how you have set up the page.

Adding Elements

You can also add “new navigations” if there is something you want on your website that Kajabi doesn’t have among its default options. For example, we used this to create a contact form that includes a section asking people about their eLearning project (in addition to contact information).

Think about the products or services you offer and what information or experience you need. Then, use this feature to add navigation aspects.

Step #5. Using Blogs

The blogs on Kajabi are a great way to share content with your visitors. This teaches your visitors about your industry. It also helps bring in more email addresses for you.

Conclusion

Kajabi’s website builder is very intuitive to use. It includes drag-and-drop controls, the ability to add custom navigation, and other ways to create a customized website.
