The Best Learning Management Systems with Content Libraries

Many course creators find it convenient to have access to a content library. After all, this saves you the need to create that content from scratch. Conveniently, you can choose a learning management system (LMS) that has a content library built into it. We’ve rounded up our favorite LMS content library options.

Why Use a Content Library?

If you aren’t sure whether you need a content library, then consider some of the advantages of these libraries. As mentioned, they save you time by providing the content. But importantly, they can provide content on a range of subjects, making them more likely to be helpful for you and your course. Content libraries are also surprisingly easy to fit into your budget, especially if you choose an LMS that already has one. Many are also SCORM-compliant, making them easier to use with a range of LMSs.

#1. Talent LMS

Talent LMS is not just one of the best learning management systems with a content library; it is also one of our favorite LMSs. It is highly customizable and ideal for employee training. As a bonus, Talent LMS is also affordable. And it has a content library, which is why it made this list.

#2. eFront

For a phenomenal LMS content library, consider eFront. This is a popular enterprise-level LMS. That makes it a great choice for very large companies that need eLearning solutions but less ideal for smaller companies. If you have a lot of employees and need a content library, eFront is definitely worth considering.

#3. Bridge

Bridge is another popular LMS that features a content library. This LMS is designed for internal training, and its content library is great. It’s worth noting that you can also white label Bridge. This is a particularly useful feature and one of the things that makes it so popular.

#4. Content Library 360 (Articulate 360)

Content Library 360 is not actually an LMS, but it is a content library that you get with an LMS. That’s because Content Library 360 is part of Articulate 360. As a refresher, Articulate 360 has a few useful pieces of software, including Storyline and Rise. One great thing about Content Library 360 is that in addition to having content you can incorporate into your courses, it also features standalone courses.

#5. Rise.com

Finally, Rise.com is another LMS content library option. It’s important to note that Rise.com and Rise (360) from Articulate 360 are different. Think of Articulate 360 as a parent company and Rise 360 and Rise.com as its babies. Rise.com is a standalone LMS, so it is not part of Articulate 360. But it does have a content library of its own.

Conclusion

If you plan on using a content library when creating your eLearning course, then it makes sense to look for an LMS that already includes a content library. This will save you the hassle of getting them separately and having to pay for two separate pieces of software. Talent LMS is our favorite LMS with a content library, and it is good for internal learning. Other good options include Bridge, eFront, Content Library 360 in Articulate 360, and Rise.com.
