Projections show that 800 million jobs around the world are going to be eliminated because of AI, and 200 million jobs are going to be added. This results in over. Half a billion jobs. Net lost time will tell how true these metrics [00:02:00] are. Either way. I am here to tell you today that employees, your teams are more important than ever in the age of ai.
And today on the show, I'm gonna share with you three powerful reasons why your employees are more important than ever. And I'm gonna share with you three. Practical principles you and your teams need to start using to partner with AI powerfully. Now, maybe you're watching this or listening to this because you are afraid that you may be one of the people.

Let's kick it off with the three reasons your employees or you as an employee are more important than ever in the age of ai. Reason number one, people have experience AI only. Has knowledge. So even if you have powerful AI agents set up at your organization, even if you are integrating AI at your company to its fullest capability, always remember that your employees and you as an employee, you have experience.
[00:06:00] You have the human. Experience. AI will never have the human experience even in the future, or maybe the future is now. When you are listening and watching this, when we have AI robots interacting in society, they still are not human still. Artificial intelligence and human experience is the most valuable asset that we have.
To give the world. This means that for your organization, you need to be looking at retaining your best people. What we really need to do is stop over hiring. This is really where I see things going, and it is already here when we get. Excited about scaling our businesses by hiring more people. What ends up happening is we hire too many, we hire less qualified people.
We give [00:07:00] employees perspective contractors. We give them less incentive to grow and get better, but when we keep our hiring level through the. Ups and downs of business instead of fluctuating with the ups and downs of business, we are going to save a ton of money. We save tens of thousands of dollars, if not more, per hire.
This is crazy. Then when you start looking at, when you develop your people by investing in learning and development, by investing in programs like my Future-Proof Learning community. You are creating high quality assets at your organization and it saves you all of the costs related to hiring. And then the headache of having to let people go and then hire [00:08:00] a bunch and then let people go.
Why not optimize the teams that we already have? Pay them more. And hire less. That is the world that I invite you to join me in. This is how I run both of my businesses, e-learning partners and athlete with asthma, and that's exactly what number two is. Employees are more important than ever in the age of AI because cultivating your current team is more valuable than hiring.
New team members. Hey, I get it. We all wanna hire that rockstar at one of our competitors to get some of the secrets, get some of that outside knowledge and you know, how expensive it can be to bring in a new hire versus. Just giving your current team a raise, just implementing a more powerful results focused learning and development program to train your internal [00:09:00] team.
Just learning how to inspire your team to partner with AI in more creative ways. High ROI, high return on investment ways. This is the key, is cultivating your current team. What this does. Is as we have these ups and downs in the market, in the economy, instead of being like everyone else worrying about, oh God, I need to hire more people, and then when it's on a down turn, I need to let go of people.
What you're going to see is you are going to see continuous growth. In your organization, no matter what the highs and the lows of the economy are, you're gonna set things up where even when things are good, you're going to be outpacing the market When things are bad, you're gonna be outpacing when things were good.
And [00:10:00] this is because you have built a highly adaptable team, a team that is starting to replicate itself with ai. And that really brings me to the third reason. Why your employees, your current team members are more important than ever in the age of ai. The future belongs to those who know how to partner with ai.
If you have. An organization or if you have team members who are against, who are anti-technology and changing the status quo, who aren't willing to adapt. In this case, cultivating a team and finding team members who have this growth mindset may become your number one priority. Because I have news for you.
If you are an employee, you are a team member out there listening to this or watching this episode, you need to change your mindset as quickly as possible. Change your mindset from [00:11:00] scarcity when new things happen, when AI happens, when new technologies happen, when whatever the next AI technology is happens.
Two, what are the opportunities that I have? Because of this new tool. If you do that, you are going to be more hireable. You're going to increase how much you are worth from at least 15% all the way up to 40% and beyond. And as a company, you are going to decrease your cost. And this is why employees, team members that partner with AI are so valuable because.
You're able to do the work of more than one person, and guess what? You can also do it with less time. Over the years, I have gone from working a hundred hour weeks to 80 hour weeks to 50 hour weeks to 40 hour weeks to only needing 16 hours or less per week to [00:12:00] run. Both of my businesses. Now, there are some weeks when I opt to work more because I want to get a month's worth of work done in one week.
By working 40 hours in a week, I get a month or more of work done by working a 16 hour week. I'm still getting about two weeks of work done. In one week, two weeks of 40 hours of work done because of how I partner with ai, you can do the same thing. So you can get paid more as a business, you can get paid more as an employee and cut your work time down, which really equates to getting a raise.
So let's say that you make a hundred KA year to keep. The number's simple. So you make a hundred K each year as a business or as an employee? Well, by partnering with ai, you're going to increase your income by 15 to 40%. Let's take 25%, though little conservative, but also [00:13:00] gives us that average 25% increase means that you are now making 120 5K.
A year. Now, let's say that to make your a hundred KA year, you're working 40 hours per week. 40 hours. And let's say that with the raise. By cutting your workload, you are now working 20 hours a week. So you're not only getting a raise, you're also working less. So a hundred thousand. 40 hours per week. This is about 2000 hours per year when we add vacations.
So we take a hundred thousand divided by 2000 hours, $50 an hour, so you're making $50 an hour as a business owner or as an employee. Then you get the raise. With the raise, you're gonna go from. A hundred to 125, and now you're working about a thousand hours a year. So we go [00:14:00] 1, 2, 5 divided by a thousand.
This math's pretty easy. Now you're making $125 an hour, so you've got a raise and you're working less. So even if you don't get a raise, you're doubling your income. But when you get a raise and you work less, you are 2.5 x-ing your income. And this is what I've. Focus on in my future proof learning community.
'cause 25% is also a very conservative number, especially if you're a business owner In the learning and development space, I've seen this be a hundred percent or even a multiple. So when we increase our income and decrease how much we're working, this is where the magic happens. So how do we do this? Well, we start with my three principles to partnering with ai.

Principle number one, the Pareto principle. This is also known as. The 80 20 rule, what is the Pato principle or the 80 20 rule? Well, 80% of results come from 20% of efforts. 80% of what you do [00:16:00] in your business, 80% of what you do in your job, you can eliminate or at least reduce, or if you keep it. Automate it.
Partner with AI because 20% of your efforts is creating 80% of results, which means that 80% of your efforts are creating 20% of your results. So what you really need to do is focus on the 20% and eliminate everything else. This is how you can go from a 40 hour week to an eight hour week. You can get as much.
Done as you are getting right now in 40 hours, in eight hours. Because what you're basically doing is identifying the highest impact tasks, the highest ROI actions that move the needle, and then you use AI to reduce, delegate and eliminate the rest. This is how I'm able to. The same amount of work of two weeks done [00:17:00] in 16 hours, just with the Pareto principle.
In my future-Proof learning community, we not only talk about strategies of how to do this, we as a group share. How we do this in our learning businesses and in our l and d and education jobs. The Pareto principle is one of the most powerful principles I've ever learned in my entire life, and this is why AI creates so many opportunities.
Because yes, you're gonna need to continue doing some of the 80%, but why not have AI do it? And yeah, even some of the 20% you can have AI do think about that. If AI can do. Some of the 20%, maybe you could work four hours a week, or maybe you could get a month or two months or three months of work done in one week.
The possibilities are limitless. And that brings me to principle number two, Parkinson's law. You heard of this one. This [00:18:00] states that work expands to fill the time available for its completion. So if you have 40 hours scheduled. This is 40 hours for us. This isn't 40 hours to break up between us and AI to partner with ai.
This is my plan is to work 40 hours this week. You're going to figure out how to work 40 hours that week. Well, let's say that you're not about actually cutting your. Time working 'cause maybe you love working. I love to work and that's why even though I can do all of my work in 16 hours a week, I'll work a 32 hour week to get a month's worth of work done.
I'll work a 40 hour week to get over a month's worth of work done. But what you wanna make sure you're doing no matter what, and this is why these principles really work together, is. If you start working on the 20% for 40 hours, you're gonna be five times more productive because you're filling your 40 hours with the 20% and you've eliminated the 80%.
But now what if you start scheduling, Hey, [00:19:00] I'm actually gonna go to 20 hours because I'm gonna eliminate a bunch of stuff and I'm gonna partner with AI with the 80% that I still need done, and I'm even gonna partner with AI with the high ROI 20%. Once you get used to working 20 hours, it's gonna open up.
Your life. 'cause this is the new goal. Your mindset is, I'm only gonna work 20 hours and in my future proof learning community, we share with one another how we achieve this. Because yes, it's great to say I am just gonna stop working 40, I'm gonna start working 20. But in practice there's specific strategies that work for different individuals and different companies, and it's really a trial and error practice.
But half the battle. Is combining these two principles, and that brings me to principle number three. Once we've done these two things, we've written out everything. That we've done, we've figured out the 20% that really moves the needle forward and we've decided that we're gonna work [00:20:00] less because we mathematically can, 'cause we're mathematically clearing up 80% of our week.
What we need to do is automate to thrive, not just survive. Yes, as technology rapidly changes, there is the possibility of being left behind, but that is not the reason. Why we do all of this. We're doing this to thrive, not to survive. This is a mindset shift. This is one of the core elements of my future proof learning community is future proofing your mindset.
So we are focused on thriving, on abundance, on opportunities, not on scarcity, surviving. We focus on thriving. So our whole goal with all this. Is to harness the power of AI to automate so that we free up our time so that we increase our income, we're increasing our hourly rate, and we are increasing our value in the market as a company and as an employee, so [00:21:00] we can get paid more.
And by increasing our value in the market and decreasing the amount of hours we need to work in order to provide that value, this opens up space for us to thrive in our lives and focus on what we really want to focus on. I'll see ya in the next episode.
